UROMITEXAN Injection is a protective agent which is used to prevent damage to your bladder and urinary system, that may be caused by some drugs used to treat cancer or auto-immune diseases. These drugs can cause a condition of the bladder, with pain in the bladder or back and blood in the urine.
May reduce lesions of the urinary bladder mucosa by binding to reactive metabolites of the oxazaphosphorines. It is excreted as free thiol in the urine and the total urinary excretion is 59.1 per cent after four hours. Therefore it is excreted, with an elimination half life of about one hour, more quickly than oxazaphosphorines and their reactive metabolites.
