Mechanism of action
After binding to the receptor, the steroid – receptor complex binds to chromatin and stimulates the formation of mRNA. The mRNA stimulates the synthesis of enzymes. The anti-inflammatory action is due to inhibition of prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis. The actions of Prednicarbate are increased gluconeogenesis, increased lipolysis, increased liver stores of glycogen, CNS effects: euphoria, increased haemoglobin synthesis, Restrict capillary permeability and maintenance of cardiovascular function cause normal skeletal muscular function, anti-inflammatory action, suppression of immune response, stabilize lysosomal membranes, ant allergic action.
