Mechanism of action
Tinidazole interferes with the bacterial DNA process and kills microorganism that causes infection. Clarithromycin works by blocking the protein formation essential for bacterial growth and replication.Use of a PPI makes the micro-environment surrounding H. pylori less acidic, which shifts the bacteria into a replicative phenotype, which makes it more sensitive to the effects of amoxicillin and clarithromycin (which are ineffective against non-replicating bacteria).Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and prevents acid-related indigestion and ulcers.
