Clostebol acetate is a steroid combined with neomycin in topical formulations for the treatment of minor skin wounds.
Clostebol is an anabolic steroid. It enhances retention and fixation of nitrogen of mineral salts and other substances necessary for protein synthesis. It stimulates tissue regeneration and therefore used in the treatment of repair of ulcers, leisions and skin dystrophies.
Clostebol is also a weak AAS with potential use as a performance enhancing drug. It is currently banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
