Direct acting sympathomimetic secreted by the adrenal medulla that acts on both alpha and beta receptor leading to relaxation of smooth muscles of the Bronhcial tree , cardiac stimulation and dilation of skeletal muscle vasculature. At usual dosage, most prominent actions are on beta receptors of heart, vascular and other smooth muscle. At high doses, alpha adrenergic effects predominate.
