Nicergoline is an organonitrogen heterocyclic compound and an organic heterotetracyclic compound. An ergot derivative that has been used as a cerebral vasodilator and in peripheral vascular disease. It has been suggested to ameliorate cognitive deficits in cerebrovascular disease
